Barron & Redding attorneys Michael P. Dickey and Jeffrey S. Carter scored wins in back-to-back oral arguments before the First District Court of Appeals last week. Mike appeared on behalf of a regional college accreditation association, defending a summary judgment that denied an attempt to obtain access to records under the Florida Public Records Act. Jeff appeared on behalf of a creditor defending a ruling that provided attorneys’ fees in a judgment lien foreclosure. The panel of the First DCA convened for oral argument in Panama City, and the Barron & Redding cases were two of the three set for argument. Less than 24 hours after oral argument, the First DCA entered orders affirming both trial court judgments.

Sandy is the firm’s managing partner, and boasts over 25 years of experience in construction, commercial and insurance litigation. Mike also practices in the areas of commercial and construction litigation, and is a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator.
