Holly K. Melzer joined the firm as an associate in January of 2008. Holly received her J.D. from the University of Florida, cum laude, in 2006.  Before joining Barron & Redding, Holly served the 14th Judicial Circuit as Assistant State Attorney.  Prior to attending law school, Holly worked as a fund-raiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raising over $2 million for the organization.

Since joining the firm, Holly has represented individuals, businesses, title companies and lending institutions in a wide variety of commercial transactions including commercial acquisitions of real property and business assets.  Holly is frequently seen in bankruptcy court where she represents creditors in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 cases.  She has also represented litigants in disputes relating to real property titles and interests, foreclosures, creditors’ rights, and business disputes.

Holly takes time to stay active in her community where she is on the Board of Directors of Anchorage Children’s Home and has been a member of the Junior Service League.
